We love to give current and former players, coaches, artists, and historians their recognition and the platform they deserve to tell their story and teach our listeners about the game and applying lessons we learn from hoops to everyday life. We don't care for hot takes, we don't care for debates but we do care about giving back to the game and giving people the recognition they deserve for their hard work, dedication, their experiences and their knowledge to give our listeners and ourselves a better understanding of the game, the business, and life beyond hoops. Yo we got Big Mo! Paul Mokeski drops in for an episode filled with gold. This is not only a special episode for our NBA fans, but also a fun one for all of our local listeners who remember Coach Mo from his time coaching the Reno Big Horns.
Paul Mokeski was the 42nd overall pick of the 1979 NBA Draft. He had a successful NBA career and was one of those key bench players who maybe wasn't a star on paper, but he was absolutely a star at his role on several deep playoff-run teams. He shares his hoops journey from beginning to end, including great stories on his time at Kansas, Jerry West, Calvin Murphy, Moses Malone, Rick Barry, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Dr. J, Pistol Pete Maravich, Don Nelson, coaching, his time in Reno, his podcast titled “The D. Gerv and Big Mo Show” and MUCH more!
